Procedure

1. 1. Inspect engine for loose connections, leaks in oil, fuel and water
2. system, cracks, and free action of all moving parts.
3. 2. Check valve tappet clearance and reset, if necessary.
4. 3. Adjust governor and throttle linkage.
5. 4. Change air filter.
6. 5. Clean, inspect and set injector nozzles if loss of engine performance
7. is noted or exhaust smoke density indicates a problem.
8. 6. Check fuel pump timing and adjust, if necessary.
