Procedure

  1. 2. Disconnect the battery cable for safety; then, disconnect the starter cable and remove the starter.
  2. 3. Remove the oi] pan attaching screws and remove the pan from the engine. Clean the oil pan thoroughly,
  3. inside and out, and remove the old gaskets and seals from the oil pan, cylinder block and front cover
  4. pan rails and the saddles on the front cover and rear main bearing cap.
