Hercules GTA4800 — To install the oil pan
Installation
For the Hercules GTA4800, from the Hercules service manual.
Applies to: Hercules G4800 series engine
Procedure
- Clean oil pan thoroughly; remove old gaskets from oil pan and cylinder block.
- Inspect inside of engine for loose nuts, screws, cotter pins, lock wires; tighten or replace.
- Cement new oil pan gasket to oil pan.
- Draw up all screws evenly and progressively.
- Install drain plugs.
- Install starter motor and connect cables.
- Refill with oil to correct level.
- Reinstall bayonet gauge assembly.
