Before you start
- Do not use any sealants, aluminum paint etc., on this gasket.
- Do not re-torque hot. If any seepage occurs, re-torque cold only.
Procedure
- Ensure gasket surfaces are clean; install new cylinder head gasket.
- Step torque head cold: Step 1 110 ft. lbs.; Step 2 130 ft. lbs.; Step 3 157 ft. lbs.; Step 4 re-torque 157 ft. lbs.
- Do not use sealants or aluminum paint on gasket.
- Do not re-torque hot; if seepage occurs, re-torque cold only.
