Hercules G4800 — To Remove The Cylinder Head

Before you start

  • Do not pry on contact surfaces.

Procedure

  1. Drain radiator and remove thermostat housing, hoses, water manifolds.
  2. Disconnect water temperature gauge thermocouple.
  3. Disconnect exhaust pipe and air cleaner.
  4. Remove fuel lines from nozzles.
  5. Remove cylinder head covers, rocker arms, push rods.
  6. Remove cylinder head nuts and lift heads.
