Hercules G4800 — To Install The Connecting Rods

For the Hercules G4800, from the Hercules service manual.
Procedure
- Assemble connecting rod and piston; insert retaining rings.
- Inspect crankshaft and polish if rough.
- Install piston rings.
- Turn crankshaft to correct position.
- Apply lubricating oil to bores, pistons, rings, pin.
- Space piston rings so no two slots align.
- Compress rings and push piston into bore.
- Install bearing shells, cap, tighten cap screws, check side movement.
