Procedure

  1. Field voltage can be tested at the brush holder terminals with a DC voltmeter.
  2. Test at no load and at full load.
  3. Field voltage should fall between 18 and 60 volts.

Tools required

  • DC voltmeter

  • 18 to 60 volts
