Before you start

  • Some two-bearing generators have spherical

Procedure

  1. Turn the start switch to the OFF position. Turn the
  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal at the
  3. Tape the leads in order to help prevent accidental
  4. Proceed with necessary system repairs. Reverse
  5. Remove either the louver assembly or the rear
  6. Remove the top grease pipe plug and remove the
  7. Install a grease fitting in the grease pipe.
  8. Grease the shielded ball bearings with 2S-3230
  9. Wipe off the excess grease. Remove the top
  10. Operate the generator for one hour. This will allow
  11. Stop the engine. Install the plug in the bottom
  12. Install the louver assembly or install the rear plate.
  13. Remove either the louver assembly or the rear
