Procedure

  1. 1. Pleasurecraft Marine Engine Co. (hereinafter referred to as “Pleasurecraft”) warrants to the fi rst owner
  2. purchasing at retail, and all subsequent owners, of every Pleasurecraft inboard marine engine manufactured
  3. after January 1, 2008 for CARB and after January 1, 2011 for EPA, that the emissions control devices
  4. on Pleasurecraft inboard marine engines are free from defects in materials and workmanship when
  5. manufactured and will remain so for a period of three (3) years or 480 hours, whichever fi rst occurs, from
  6. the date of delivery to the fi rst owner purchasing the engine at retail or from the date the engine is fi rst
  7. placed into service for demonstration or any other purpose prior to sale to the fi rst owner purchasing the
  8. engine at retail.
  9. 2. Pursuant to the Environmental Protection Agency 40 CFR Part 1045 and Part 1068 and the California Code of
  10. Regulations Title 13, Chapter 9, Article 4.7§ 2445.1, Pleasurecraft warrants that each Pleasurecraft engine
  11. is designed, built and equipped to conform with all applicable regulations adopted by the Environmental
  12. Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board pursuant to its authority in Chapters 1 and 2,
  13. Part 5, Division 26 of the Health and Safety Code, and is free from defects in materials and workmanship
  14. that cause the failure of a warranted part to be identical in all material respects to that part as described in
  15. Pleasurecraft’s application for certifi cation.
  16. 3. Any part covered under this Warranty that is not scheduled for replacement as required maintenance, in
  17. the written instructions to be found within the Pleasurecraft Owners/Operators Manual, is warranted for the
  18. period of three (3) years or 480 hours, whichever fi rst occurs. If the part fails during the period of warranty
  19. coverage, Pleasurecraft will repair or replace the defective part at any Pleasurecraft warranty station. The
  20. repair or replacement will be performed at no charge to the owner. Any such part repaired or replaced
  21. under this Warranty will be warranted for the remainder of the three (3) year or 480 hours, whichever fi rst
  22. occurs, period.
  23. 4. Any part covered under this Warranty that is scheduled only for regular inspection in the written instructions
  24. to be found within the Pleasurecraft Owners/Operators Manual, is warranted for the period of three (3) years
  25. or 480 hours, whichever fi rst occurs. If the part fails during the period of warranty coverage, Pleasurecraft
  26. will repair or replace the defective part at any Pleasurecraft warranty station. The repair or replacement
  27. will be performed at no charge to the owner. Any such part repaired or replaced under this Warranty will
  28. be warranted for the remainder of the three (3) year or 480 hours, whichever fi rst occurs, period.
  29. 5. Any part covered under this Warranty that is scheduled for replacement as required maintenance in the
  30. written instructions to be found within the Pleasurecraft Owners/Operators Manual will be warranted for
  31. the period of time before the fi rst scheduled replacement date for that part. If the part fails before the fi rst
  32. scheduled
