  20. Warranty may be excluded from such warranty coverage if Crusader demonstrates that the engine and/or
  21. part has been abused, neglected, or improperly maintained, and that such abuse, neglect, or improper
  22. maintenance was the direct cause of the need for repair or replacement of the part.
  23. 11. Crusader original equipment parts are “identical in all material respects to that part as described in the
  24. engine manufacturer’s application for certifi cation”. The use of any replacement parts not supplied by
  25. Crusader may not meet this requirement and will be grounds for disallowing a claim made under this
  26. Warranty. Crusader will not be liable under this Warranty or provide warranty coverage for product failures
  27. caused by parts other than Crusader original equipment parts.

  50. Crusader Marine Engines are equipped with transmissions designed, built and warranted by other manufacturers.
  51. Although much of the transmission warranty is handled through Crusader Marine Engines, there may be issues for
  52. which, you, the owner, may want to contact the transmission manufacturer directly. The transmission suppliers are
  53. listed below for your reference. A tag is attached to each transmission showing the manufacturer, transmission model
  54. and serial number. Have this tag information available whenever contacting the manufacturer.

  68. RESOLVING A SERVICE PROBLEM
  69. Your satisfaction and faith in the product are of major importance to your dealer and to Crusader Marine Engines. Any
  70. problems with service, warranty or operation of your Crusader powered boat will be resolved by your dealer. He should
  71. be your primary source of information on your boat. Should there be a misunderstanding, or if your problem has not
  72. been resolved to your satisfaction, please follow these steps:
  73. Step One - Discuss Your Problem With One Of The Dealership Management Personnel
  74. Misunderstanding or complaints can be resolved quickly by the dealer. Discuss your problem with the dealership’s
  75. service manager. If you are still unable to obtain satisfaction, contact the dealership’s owner.
  76. Step Two - If Your Complaint Has Not Been Resolved To Your Satisfaction, Contact The Crusader Captain’s
  77. Club™ Concierge
  78. When contacting the Club Concierge:
  79. • Call the confi dential toll free number you received with your Captain’s Club™ membership between 8:00 a.m.
  80. and 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.
  81. • Have your Captain’s Club™ membership card available, so you can provide the Club Concierge with your PIN.
  82. • Details of your problem or complaint
  83. Your Crusader engine warranty and Captain’s Club™ membership are activated when your dealer sends in the
  84. warranty registration cards for your engine(s). You will receive your Crusader Captain’s Club™ membership package
  85. after Crusader receives the warranty registration card(s). If you have not received your Club membership, follow up
  86. with your dealer to ensure that your engine(s) warranty registration has been fi led.

  90. DEALERS RESPONSIBILITIES
  91. In general, the dealer’s responsibilities to you, the customer, include pre-delivery inspection and preparation such as:
  92. • Make sure that the boat is properly equipped
  93. • Prior to delivery, make certain that the Crusader Engine is in proper operating condition
  94. • Make all necessary adjustments for maximum effi ciency
  95. • Familiarize you, the owner, with the on-board equipment
  96. • Explain and demonstrate the operation of the engine, and also the boat
  97. • Explain warranty policies and deliver all operating manuals for the engine and the boat
  98. • Complete the owner’s warranty registration card and return it to the factory

  102. TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY
  103. The product limited warranty is transferable to a subsequent purchaser, but only for the remainder of the unused portion
  104. of the limited warranty. This will not apply to the products used for commercial applications.
  105. DIRECT SALE BY OWNER
  106. The second owner can be registered as the new owner, and may retain the unused portion of the limited warranty.
  107. The forms and instructions necessary to transfer the unused portion of the Crusader Two Year Limited Warranty are
  108. provided in Forms, section 18 of this manual.
  109. Upon receipt of the transfer application a new “Owner Warranty Registration Card” will be issued with the new owner’s
  110. name and address. Registration records will be changed on the factory computer registration fi le.

  117. CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD
  118. Carbon monoxide is produced when anything that
  119. contains carbon, such as gasoline, natural gas, oil,
  120. propane, coal or wood is burned. Carbon monoxide is
  121. commonly found in the exhaust of internal combustion
  122. engines (boat power plants, generators, etc.). In
  123. addition, open fl ame devices like cooking ranges,
  124. heaters and charcoal grills also produce carbon
  125. monoxide.
  126. Carbon monoxide accumulation, in and around boats
  127. is affected by vessel geometry; overall vessel design;
  128. closeness to other structures; wind direction; boat speed;
