Before you start
- This procedure requires a minimum of 3 purge cycles to expel all the air from the fuel rails and fuel lines.
Procedure
- Make sure the battery is connected.
- Check to make sure there is fuel in the tank.
- Turn the key to the KOEO position.
- Wait for the wait-to-start-light to go out.
- Turn the key off and repeat steps 3 and 4 two additional times.
- Turn the key back on (forth time), when the wait to start light goes out, start the engine; if the engine fails to start refer to the Fuel System Pressure Check procedure in this manual.
Specs & torque values
- Key On Engine Off (KOEO) position
- Wait-to-start light 20 seconds timing
