Before you start

  • Use care not to damage the AIR system injection tubes.

Procedure

  1. Remove oil dipstick tube; on 5.0L/5.7L bend back tab washers.
  2. Remove bolts and studs.
  3. Remove tab washers and washers.
  4. Remove heat shields.
  5. Remove exhaust manifold; do not damage AIR system injection tubes.
