Before you start
- Failure to properly align CKP sensor reluctor ring on
- On 4.3L with balance shaft, the timing gear sprocket
- On models equipped with CKP sensor, ensure CKP
Procedure
- Install Woodruff key in crankshaft (if removed). Using Crankshaft Sprocket Installer
- Install and tighten camshaft sprocket bolts to specification. See TORQUE
- On models equipped with CKP sensor, install and align CKP sensor reluctor ring. See
Tools required
- to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
- down bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
- 1. Install Woodruff key in crankshaft (if removed). Using Crankshaft Sprocket Installer
- See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal
Specs & torque values
- Tighten to 35 ft. Ibs. (47 N.m).
