Before you start

  • Do not overfill engine crankcase with oil

Procedure

  1. Stop engine and allow approximately 5 minutes for oil to drain back
  2. Remove dipstick, wipe clean, reinstall within two inches of fully seated
  3. Slowly move dipstick up and down approximately 1/2 inch several times
  4. Fully seat the dipstick into the dipstick tube
  5. Wait two minutes, remove dipstick and observe oil level
  6. Add specified oil if below ADD mark; remove excess if above FULL mark
