Before you start
- Refer to Fastener Notice
Procedure
- Install upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket into upper manifold groove.
- Install upper intake manifold onto lower intake manifold.
- Apply threadlock to upper intake manifold attaching studs.
- Install upper intake manifold studs; first pass 5 N-m, second pass 10 N-m.
- Install NEW throttle body gasket.
- Install throttle body and studs; tighten to 9 N-m (80 lb in).
- Install fuel injector rail assembly.
- Install MAP sensor seal, MAP sensor, and ignition coil; coil studs 12 N-m.
Specs & values
- Upper intake studs first pass 5 N-m (44 lb in)
- Upper intake studs second pass 10 N-m (89 lb in)
- Throttle body studs 9 N-m (80 lb in)
- Ignition coil studs 12 N-m (106 lb in)
