Before you start
- Avoid prolonged operation at minimum or maximum engine speeds and loads for the first hour of operation
Procedure
- Refer to the Before Starting Engine section.
- Start engine and run at no load for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Check oil pressure.
- Check for fuel, engine oil, or coolant leaks.
- Check proper operation of indicators/gauges.
