Before you start
- The water pump assembly may not be serviced; when the water seal or bearing is damaged, replace the whole assembly.
Procedure
- Loosen and remove four bolts from the front end of the cylinder block.
- Remove the water pump assembly.
- Remove the sealing gasket of the water pump.
- Install a new sealing gasket on the water pump.
- Install the water pump assembly into the cylinder block and screw in the four retaining bolts by hand.
- Tighten to 79 in-lbs.
