Procedure
- Disconnect the brush wires or remove the brush holder to prevent interaction.
- Set a VOM to Rx1 and zero the meter.
- Connect the positive VOM test lead to the positive slip ring and the common lead to the negative slip ring. The meter should read approximately 12-13 ohms.
- Set the VOM to a high resistance scale and zero the meter.
- Connect the positive test lead to the positive slip ring and the common lead to clean frame ground. The meter should indicate infinity.
