Before you start

  • If the battery is disconnected or the fuse removed, the exercise function must be reset.
  • If the generator has the low speed exercise feature, it was enabled at the factory and needs no adjustment.

Procedure

  1. For 8 kW models with the mode switch in AUTO, press and hold the EXERCISER switch at least 10 seconds and release; the unit runs about 12 minutes.
  2. On all other models the display enters an Installation Assistant mode when battery power is first connected.
  3. The assistant prompts to enter the current date and time, then the exercise day and time.
  4. If the exercise day or time needs changing, press the escape key to access the main menu.
  5. Press the left or right arrow key until 'Edit' is flashing and press enter.
  6. Press the right or left arrow key until the exercise time is displayed and press enter.
  7. Using the arrow and enter keys set the exercise hour in 24 hour format, then the minute, then the day.
  8. Once set, the generator will exercise each week at the same time.
