Generac — Rotor/Stator Removal

For these Generac models: iX1600, iX2000, iX800.

Applies to: Generac Ix1600, Generac Ix2000, Generac Ix800

Procedure

  1. 24. Remove the 8mm bolt in the center of the recoil jaw.
  2. 25. Remove two 8mm bolts from the starting jaw seat.
  3. 26. Remove the fan.
  4. 27. Remove the 15mm nut in the center of the rotor by
  5. 41. Use an adjustable wrench to counter the torque from
  6. 28. With the nut removed install the steering puller with the
  7. 29. Remove two (2) 8mm bolts holding stator to engine
  8. 30. Remove stator.
