Generac QUIETPACT 75 — Starting the Generator

Operation

Before you start

  • Holding the switch longer than 15 seconds can damage the starter motor.

Procedure

  1. Turn off electrical loads.
  2. If engine is cold, press Preheat switch for 15 to 30 seconds maximum.
  3. Hold Start/Stop switch in START while pressing Preheat; release when engine starts.
  4. If no start after 15 seconds cranking, release and wait 15 seconds before retry.
  5. Let engine run at no-load a few minutes to stabilize and warm up.
  6. Turn on electrical loads.
