Before you start
- Never store the battery on any concrete or earthen floor.
Procedure
- Start engine and let it run until thoroughly warm, then shut off.
- While engine is still warm, drain oil completely; refill crankcase with recommended oil.
- Attach a tag to engine indicating oil viscosity and classification.
- Remove battery; store in a cool, dry room on a wooden board.
- Clean and wipe the entire generator.
