Generac — Over Speed (Shutdown Alarm)

For these Generac models: EcoGen 6kW Generator, GT-530.

Applies to: Generac Ecogen 6Kw Generator, Generac Gt 530

Before you start

  • Second Priority (Non-latching) Displayed on the control panel

Procedure

  1. 3000 RPM for three (3) seconds or 3300 RPM immediately. This
  2. 15 seconds, then re-crank the engine. If no RPM signal is detected
  3. 30 seconds it will shut down. The under-frequency setting is 55
  4. 15 seconds, it shuts down.
  5. 0.5 seconds, an alarm will be issued and the unit will shut down.
  6. 3.5.2
  7. 12.4 volts. Battery voltage is not monitored during the crank
  8. 3.5.3
