Before you start
- For out of service longer than 90 days if cannot be exercised every 7 days
Procedure
- Start engine and warm up
- Close fuel shutoff valve, allow unit to shut down
- Switch to OFF position
- Set main circuit breaker OFF
- Set AUTO/OFF/MANUAL to OFF, turn off utility power, remove 7.5A fuse, disconnect battery
- Drain oil while warm, refill crankcase
- Tag engine with oil viscosity/classification
- Remove spark plug, spray fogging agent, reinstall
- Remove battery, store in cool dry room on wooden board
- Clean generator with mild soap and water
