Before you start
- Equipment damage. Do not make battery connections in reverse.
Procedure
- Replace the battery with one of equivalent size, voltage, and CCA.
- Fill a new battery with the proper electrolyte and fully charge it before install.
- Connect the red battery cable from the starter contactor to the positive (+) battery post.
- Connect the black battery cable to the negative (-) battery post.
