Before you start
- DO NOT rotate the engine during the above adjustment.
Procedure
- Thread the pickup in until its tip just contacts the ring gear.
- Back off about 1/2 to 3/4 turn and hold in that position.
- Tighten the stop nut.

- Air gap approximately 1/2 to 3/4 turn backed off from contact
