Generac IQ3500 / iQ3500 — Change Engine Oil

Procedure

1. Place generator on a level surface.
2. Open service door.
3. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug.
4. Clean area around oil fill and oil drain plug.
5. Remove rubber oil drain bolt access cover.
6. Remove oil drain rubber cover; use 10mm socket to remove oil drain bolt and drain oil into a container.
7. Install and tighten drain bolt once oil is drained.
8. Wipe up spilled oil; replace rubber covers.
9. Remove oil fill cap and insert funnel; add recommended engine oil.
10. Check oil level with dipstick and top up as needed.
11. Install oil fill cap/dipstick and hand-tighten.
12. Properly dispose of used oil per applicable regulations.
