Generac HomeLink 6500 Series — Starting the Generator (Electric Start)

Operation

Before you start

  • Never start or stop engine with electrical devices plugged into the receptacles AND devices turned on.

Procedure

  1. Turn the fuel valve to the ON position.
  2. Move the choke lever to the START position (left).
  3. Press and hold the off/run/start switch in the START position; release to RUN when engine starts.
  4. Move the choke lever to the RUN position (right); if engine falters, move back to START briefly.
  5. Manual recoil starter may be used if the battery is discharged.
