Procedure

  1. 1. On the generator panel, set the manual-off-auto
  2. switch to "Off". Then place a "DO NOT OPERATE" tag
  3. in a conspicuous place on or near the generator panel.
  4. 2.As asafety measure to prevent inadvertent generator
  5. startup, disconnect the battery cables from the gener-
  6. ator battery.
  7. 3. Turn OFF all power voltage supplies to the transfer
  8. switch, -sing whatever means provided (such as the
  9. "Utility" and "Standby" main fine circuit breakers).
