Generac — Overloading a generator in excess of its rated wattage
For these Generac models: 389/206/163cc, 410cc, GP1800, GP3250, GP5000, GP5500, GP6500, GP7000, GP8000.

Procedure
- Add up the total wattage of all electrical devices to
- The rated wattage of lights can be taken from light
- If the appliance, tool or motor does not give watt
- Some electric motors, such as induction types,
- Figure the watts needed to start the largest motor.
- Add to that figure the running watts of all other con
- Remove cover from end of alternator assembly.
- Remove two screws holding down the voltage regulator
- Leave AVR connected to stator and brushes
- Set VOM to measure AC voltage.
- Connect VOM across a 240VAC socket as shown in
