Before you start

  • terminal Be. Note the VOM reading.

Procedure

  1. 4. Make sure the main contacts are at their "Utility" side,
  2. Le. the "Utility" arrow is pointing to the green display
  3. window.
  4. 5. Set a VOM to its "Rx1" scale and zero the meter. If
  5. the VOM has a polarity switch, set it to "+DC".
  6. 6. Test one bridge rectifier diode as follows:
  7. a. Connect one VOM test lead to red wire terminal
  8. end and the other test lead to transfer mechanism
  9. terminal Be. Note the VOM reading.
  10. b. Now, reverse the test leads (reverse the test
  11. polarity). Again, note the meter reading.
  12. c. The forward resistance of a dicde should be indi-
  13. cated at one polarity only. At the opposite polarity, BLACK
  14. “infinity” should be indicated.
