Before you start
- Damage will result if battery connections are made in reverse

Procedure
- Set the generator's AUTO/OFF/MANUAL switch to OFF
- Turn off utility power supply to the transfer switch
- Remove the 7.5A fuse from the generator control panel
- Connect the red battery cable to the positive (+) post
- Connect the black battery cable to the negative (-) post
- Install battery post covers supplied with the generator
