Generac — Disassembly

For these Generac models: iX1600, iX2000, iX800.

Applies to: Generac Ix1600, Generac Ix2000, Generac Ix800

Procedure

  1. 7.

  4. 10. Remove three (3) Phillips screws located on the handle.
  5. 11. Carefully orient the assembly so that the side with the
  6. 12. Remove two (2) Phillips bolts on the underside of the
  7. 13. The side with the spark plug access should be facing up
  8. 14. Disconnect the fuel tank by removing the hose clamp and
  9. 15. Remove one (1) Phillips screw from the fuel shutoff valve
  10. 16. On the iX 1400, iX 1600 and iX 2000 disconnect
  11. 17. Feed the recoil cord through the lower enclosure piece.
  12. 18. The engine assembly should be able to be lifted out of the
