Before you start
- Batteries emit explosive gases while charging
- Always connect positive battery cable first to avoid spark
Procedure
- Connect red positive (+) battery cable (from starter contactor) to positive battery terminal; tighten to 45-50 in-lbs (5-6 Nm)
- Connect black negative (-) battery cable (from frame ground) to negative battery terminal; tighten to 45-50 in-lbs (5-6 Nm)
- Install red battery terminal cover
- Install intake side and front panels
- Press SERVICE button on control panel; verify blue SERVICE light is off
- Close and lock lid
