Before you start

  • Supply voltages are extremely high and dangerous. Contact with such high voltage power supply lines causes extremely hazardous, possibly lethal, electrical shock.
  • Use a torque wrench; do not overtighten or damage to the switch base could occur.

Procedure

  1. Turn OFF both UTILITY (NORMAL) and EMERGENCY (STANDBY) power supplies.
  2. Remove surface oxides from cable ends with a wire brush.
  3. Connect UTILITY (NORMAL) power source cables to switch terminals N1, N2, N3.
  4. Connect EMERGENCY (STANDBY) source power cables to switch terminals E1, E2, E3.
  5. Connect customer LOAD leads to switch terminals T1, T2, T3.
  6. Connect neutral conductors of UTILITY, EMERGENCY and LOAD to the neutral block.
  7. Apply corrosion inhibitor to ALUMINUM conductors and wipe away excess.
  8. Tighten terminal lugs to torque values on decal inside the door.
