Before you start
- Accidental Start-up: Disconnect negative battery cable first, then positive battery cable
- Equipment damage: Do not make battery connections in reverse
Procedure
- Disconnect negative battery cable first
- Disconnect positive battery cable second
- Identify two battery wires with ring terminals in engine compartment
- Loosen and remove nuts from positive and negative battery terminals
- Slide harness power wires over battery terminal screws
- Replace and tighten nuts securely
- Use tie wrap to bundle excess power wire length if necessary
- Connect positive battery cable first
- Connect negative battery cable second
