Before you start
- DO NOT OVERFILL.
- Never operate engine with oil level below the Add mark.
Procedure
- Clean area around oil drain plug, remove plug and drain oil completely while engine is warm.
- Install and tighten the oil drain plug.
- Turn oil filter counterclockwise to remove it.
- Coat gasket of new filter with engine oil; install and tighten 3/4 turn after gasket contacts adapter.
- Remove oil fill cap, pour recommended oil slowly to the FULL mark on dipstick.
- Start engine to fill oil filter, check for leaks, recheck oil level.
