Generac — Battery Maintenance Inspection
For these Generac models: 004666, 004666-1, 005011, 005011-0, Model 004666, Model 005011.

Before you start
- Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. The battery is capable of exploding.
- Do not use tap water in batteries.
- Lead-acid batteries present a risk of fire because they generate hydrogen gas.
Procedure
- Inspect the battery posts and cables for tightness and corrosion.
- Tighten and clean as necessary.
- Check the battery fluid level of unsealed batteries and, if necessary, fill with DISTILLED WATER ONLY.
- Have the state of charge and condition checked using an automotive-type battery hydrometer.

- Distilled water only (do not use tap water)
