Generac — Activate the Generator

Before you start

  • If ESCAPE is pressed instead of ENTER, your generator will only run in manual mode and NOT ACTIVATED will be displayed.

Procedure

  1. Record the generator serial number and log onto www.activategen.com or call 1-888-9ACTIVATE to retrieve the activation code.
  2. At the generator control panel, use ARROW keys to scroll to desired language. Press ENTER to select.
  3. Press ENTER to begin the activation process.
  4. Using ARROW keys find the first number of the Activation Code, press ENTER to select. Repeat until all digits entered.
  5. Activation is complete when all digits are entered and the screen shows activation display.
  6. Follow controller prompts to set the time function.
