Before you start

  • To prevent injury, perform the following steps in the order indicated before starting any maintenance.

Procedure

  1. Set the control panel AUTO-OFF-MANUAL switch to the OFF position.
  2. Remove the control panel fuse.
  3. Turn off the battery charger.
  4. Remove the negative battery cable.

  • The battery charger must be turned off BEFORE removing the battery cable.
