Before you start

  • Never start or stop engine with electrical devices plugged into the receptacles AND devices turned on.

Procedure

  1. Unplug all electrical loads from the unit's receptacles before starting the engine.
  2. Make sure the unit is in a level position.
  3. OPEN the Fuel Shut-off Valve on the cylinder.
  4. Turn engine RUN/STOP switch to ON position.
  5. Slide engine choke to the LEFT to FULL CHOKE position (cold engine only).
  6. Press down on the regulator prime button for 1-2 seconds and release.
  7. Firmly grasp the recoil handle and pull slowly until increased resistance is felt, then pull rapidly up and away.
  8. When engine starts, move choke knob to 1/2-CHOKE until engine runs smoothly, then fully into RUN position.
