Before you start
- Do not blast the spark plugs to clean.
Procedure
- Clean area around base of spark plugs to keep dirt out; clean by scraping or washing with wire brush and solvent.
- Remove spark plugs and check condition; replace if worn or reuse is questionable.
- Check spark plug gap with a wire feeler gauge.
- Adjust the gap to 1.01 mm (0.040 inch) by carefully bending the ground electrode.
