Before you start
- Drain fuel outdoors away from open flame.
Procedure
- Remove all gasoline from fuel tank into approved container outdoors.
- Start and run engine until it stops from lack of fuel.
- While engine is warm, drain oil from crankcase; refill with recommended grade.
- Remove spark plugs; pour about 1/2 ounce (15 ml) oil into cylinders.
- Cover spark plug holes with rag; crank engine for 2 seconds.
- Install and tighten spark plugs; do not connect spark plug wires.
- Clean generator; store in clean, dry place.
