For these models: M8T60373 (24 V-5 kW), S4S.

Before you start

  • Never touch the spray of fuel from the fuel injection nozzle during inspection.

Procedure

  1. Install the fuel injection nozzle onto the nozzle tester. Pump the tester handle up and down to bleed air.
  2. Pump the tester handle at a rate of approx. one cycle per second while observing the pointer of the tester.
  3. If the measured pressure does not conform to the standard value, disassemble and adjust by changing the thickness of the washer. [text cut off in source chunk]

  • Standard valve opening pressure: Swirl chamber 11.77 to 12.75 MPa (120 to 130 kgf/cm2) [1711.6 to 1850 psi]
  • Direct injection 18.14 to 19.12 MPa (185 to 195 kgf/cm2) [2636 to 2770 psi]
