Before you start

  • Do not drop injectors - they are precision components

Procedure

  1. Disconnect fuel lines from injector.
  2. Remove injector hold-down clamp or bolts.
  3. Carefully remove injector from cylinder head.
  4. Clean injector seating area in cylinder head.
  5. Install new or refurbished injector in reverse order.
  6. Tighten injector bolts to specification.
  7. Reconnect fuel lines and check for leaks.

Tools required

  • Injector removal tool
  • Torque wrench
  • Socket set
