Before you start

  • Handle all parts extremely carefully. Never get hands or fingers between pieces.
  • Wear the required safety clothing such as goggles, gloves and safety shoes.
  • Protect the electric parts before doing any washing with high-pressure jets.

Procedure

  1. Before securing the engine on the rotary stand, remove the electric engine cable by disconnecting it from the control unit and all the sensors/transmitters to which it is connected.
  2. Remove the starting motor.
  3. Remove air compressor (if available).
  4. Remove the engine supports.
  5. Remove screws and remove oil pressure adjustment valve.
  6. Fix the engine to the rotary stand 99322230 by means of brackets 99361035.
  7. Disconnect line to manual pump from oil sump and drain engine oil.
  8. Use specific tool to operate on belt tensioner in direction of arrow, remove water pump alternator and ventilator control belt. Remove screws and disconnect electromagnetic ventilator coupling.
  9. Block the flywheel rotation with tool 99360351.
  10. Remove screws, then disassemble damper flywheel.
  11. Remove the screws and the pulley.
