Before you start
- Handle all parts extremely carefully. Never get hands or fingers between pieces.
- Wear the required safety clothing such as goggles, gloves and safety shoes.
- Protect the electric parts before doing any washing with high-pressure jets.
Procedure
- Before securing the engine on the rotary stand, remove the electric engine cable by disconnecting it from the control unit and all the sensors/transmitters to which it is connected.
- Remove the starting motor.
- Remove air compressor (if available).
- Remove the engine supports.
- Remove screws and remove oil pressure adjustment valve.
- Fix the engine to the rotary stand 99322230 by means of brackets 99361035.
- Disconnect line to manual pump from oil sump and drain engine oil.
- Use specific tool to operate on belt tensioner in direction of arrow, remove water pump alternator and ventilator control belt. Remove screws and disconnect electromagnetic ventilator coupling.
- Block the flywheel rotation with tool 99360351.
- Remove screws, then disassemble damper flywheel.
- Remove the screws and the pulley.
