Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system; refer to page 05-05.
2. Remove the engine cooling fan.
3. Remove the drive belt; refer to Fan Drive Belt page 05-12.
4. Remove the water pump pulley (8509).
5. Remove the water pump bolts.
6. Remove the water pump from the cylinder block; clean and inspect mating surfaces.
