Before you start
- Cooling systems are recommended to be filled with Motorcraft Premium Engine Coolant VC-4-A meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A (green color). Do not mix coolant types.
Procedure
- Lubricate the new O-ring seal with engine coolant and install it onto the water pump.
- Position the water pump into the engine block and heater water outlet tube.
- Install the bolts.
- Position the pulley onto the water pump.
- Install the fan spacer and fan.
- Install the drive belt.
- Refill the cooling system.

- 21-29 Nm (15-21 lb. ft.)
