Procedure
- Apply Pipe Sealant with Teflon to water pump bolts prior to installation.
- Position gasket and water pump on cylinder block and install screws; alternately tighten to 20-30 N·m.
- Replace water inlet tube O-ring (lubricated with silicone grease).
- Install water pump inlet tube in water pump; tighten inlet tube-to-generator bracket bolts to 9-12 N·m.
- Install lower radiator hose and heater water hose.
- Install water pump pulley and fan and tighten bolts finger-tight.
- Rotate drive belt tensioner and install drive belt.
- Tighten fan and water pump pulley bolts to 20-25 N·m.
- Fill cooling system.
- Start engine and check for leaks.
