Procedure

  1. Remove the PCV valve.
  2. Use silicone gasket and sealant F6AZ-19562-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSE-M4G323-A6.
  3. Use metal surface cleaner F4AZ-19A536-RA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSE-M5B292-A.
  4. Apply silicone in two places where the engine front cover meets the cylinder head.
  5. Position the valve cover on the cylinder head and loosely install the bolts.
  6. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
  7. Reinstall the PCV valve.

Specs & values

  • Mating parts must make contact within 4 minutes and connecting bolts must be torqued within 15 minutes after applying sealant.
